Speakers at a view exchange meeting on problem and prospect of expatriates in Sylhet said, non-resident Bangladeshis( NRBs) have been playing vital role to strengthen the economy of the country and to make huge reserve of foreign currency through their foreign remittance .
They said they send their hard earned currency to the motherland and it has created huge job opportunities for the people . They also underscored the need for security of the expatriates and made a call to create congenial atmosphere for the investment in the country .
The meeting was addressed among others by Chairman of Asian Business Network Siraj Haq , Managing Director of Excelsior Syed Chowdhury, Director Ahmed Ali , Director of British- Bangla Chamber of Commerce and Industry Syed Abdul Quyum , Director of Asia International Market Alhaj Abdur Rouf , Lecturer of Classic International School and College Md Osman Gani , journalist Ashraful Islam Imran , Dr alamgir Sylhet Writers’ Forum Organising secretary Shahed Munshi , Engineer Kamal Pasha, MA Rahman and Akbar Hossain .
