The first ever conference of executive engineers was held at the International Mother Language Institute in the city on Thursday.
The Water Resources Ministry organised the conference. State Minister of Water Resources Zaheed Farooque addressed the event as the chief guest while Deputy Minister AKM Enamul Hoque Shameem spoke as the special guest at the conference. Secretary of the Ministry Kabir-Bin Anwar chaired it, said a press release.
“We are taking different projects for building Sonar Bangla as dreamt by Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman,” Zaheed Farooque said.
Extending thanks to the executive engineers, he said “You are performing duties round the clock in your respective areas to save properties from erosion,” he added.
Deputy Minister AKM Enamul Hoque Shameem urged engineers to do their duties with utmost honesty and sincerity.
