The Chief Metropolitan Magistrate (CMM) Court of Dhaka on Sunday deferred the submission of the compliance report in connection with the arrest of BNP Chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia to February 14 in a defamation case.
Magistrate Nur Nabi of the CMM Court fixed
February 14 for submission of report on the arrest of the BNP leader in a case filed for giving national flag and map of the country to the cars of some recognized anti-liberation men. Khaleda Zia and her husband slain Ziaur Rahman were made accused in the case.
On November 3, 2016, AB Siddiqi, President of the pro-Awami League organisation, Bangladesh Jananetri Parishad filed the case with Gulshan Police Station of the capital.
