Comilla District team became the champions of the BBS Cables IGP Cup National Youth Kabaddi Competition defeating Nilphamari District team by 37-23 points with one lona in the final at the Kabaddi Stadium on Saturday.
Meanwhile, Rajshahi District team finished third beating Satkhira District team by 20-16 points in a place-deciding match at the same venue.
Samrat of Comilla District team was adjudged the Man of the Final while Basu of Nilphamari District team was adjudged the Player of the Tournament.
After the final match, State Minister for Youth and Sports Biren Sikder, MP distributed the prizes among the winners as the chief guest while President of Bangladesh Kabaddi Federation (BKF) and Inspector General of Police AKM Shahidul Haque was with him as the special guest.
Vice-President of BKF and Chairman of the Tournament Committee Md Nizam Uddin Parvez presided over the prize-giving ceremony.
General Secretary of the Federation Md Nazrul Islam thanked all for finishing the kabaddi meet smoothly.
