A combined monitoring team consisting of Directorate of National Consumers’ Right Protection and other related departments will inspect physically the edible oil’s supply, delivery and import at the mill gate.
The decision was taken after a meeting with mill owners at Directorate of National Consumers’
Right Protection’s seminar hall chaired by DNCRP’s Director General (DG) A.H.M Shafiquzzaman.
Other decisions taken at the meeting included Supply Order (SO) should be mentioned in the price list of oil, delivery of the previous SO should be done by March 24.
The meeting also decided that the Commerce Ministry would send a letter to the concerned agencies asking them to monitor the flow of oil.
The meeting was attended by Monjur Mohammad Shariar, Director (Additional Charge) Admin & Finance of the DNCRP, Helal Uddin Ahmed, President of Bangladesh Shop Owners Association and representatives of oil traders, mill owners and dealers.
