UNB, Benapole (Jessore) :
A college student drowned in a pond adjacent to Jessore Cantonment on Monday.
The deceased was identified as Nafis Sadik Rafi, a class XI student of Jessore Government MM College and son of Bappi Hossain.
Witnesses said Rafi slipped into the water when he along with his friends went to take bath in the pond in the afternoon and died.
Later, an army team recovered the body from the pond.
