A college principal was killed as a truck hit a human-hauler on Dhaka- Chattogram Highway at Noyduari of Katachhara union in MirsaraiUpazila on Monday.
The deceased was identified as Aminur Rasul, 55, principal of Professor Kamal Uddin Chowdhury College in Mirsarai. Jorarganj Chowdhuryhat Highway Police in-charge Ekramul Haque said the
human hauler carrying Aminur overturned on the road when the truck hit it around 12 pm, leaving him severely injured. Locals took the victim to Mirsharai Upazila Health Complex where doctors declared him dead.
Police seized the truck and arrested its driver after the incident.
