Cognizance order against Shariatpur Razakar duo Dec 22

The International Crimes Tribunal (ICT)-1 on Wednesday set December 22 to pass order whether to take the charges of crimes against humanity brought by the prosecution against Shariatpur Razakar duo Solaiman Mollah and Idris Ali into cognizance.
Justice Anwarul Haque, chairman of the two-member panel of the ICT-1, set the date rejecting a bail plea for Mollah.
Prosecutor Hrishikesh Saha had submitted formal charge against the duo on November 16, bringing four charges of crimes against humanity.
Earlier on June 14, law enforcing agency arrested Mollah, 85, from his house at village Kashipur under Anggaria union in Shariatpur Sadar, within hours of the issuing of arrest warrant against the duo by the tribunal. But Ali is still at large.
