Coatbazar Players Association beat National Cox Krira Sangha (KS) by 3-2 goals in the opening match of the Walton 2nd Cox’s Bazar Beach Football Tournament at the Laboni Point of the Cox’s Bazar Sea Beach on Saturday.
Earlier, DC of Cox’s Bazar Md Ali Hossain inaugurated the football competition as the chief guest while Police Super of Cox’s Bazar Shyamol Kumar Nath was with him as the special guest. President of Cox’s Bazar City Awami League Mojibor Rahman was present at the time.
Additional DC of Cox’s Bazar and President of the Tournament Committee Dr Anupom Saha presided over the inaugural ceremony.
A total of eight teams are taking part in the football competition. They are: Abahani Krira Chakra, National Cox Krira Sangha, Malumghat Krira Sangha, Youngmens Club, Coatbazar Players Association, Football Club Moheshkhali, Bashkati Players Association and Shatadal Club.
