Staff Reporter :Members of Coast Guard and Navy on Thursday conducted a special joint drive in Sundarbans and unearthed 10 hideouts of robbers in Chandpai Range. The drive conducted under the name of “Operation Pirates Hunt” in Kokilmoni, Hatbaria, Hironpoint, Akram point and Dublar Char area in the morning. Kazi Mahadi Masud, Zonal Commanding captain of Coast Guard West Zone (Mongla), said the joint drive conducted for eradicating piracy in the Sundarbans and rescuing the abducted fishermen. Forest Department helped in this regard, the law enforcers set fire to different establishments of the robbers.
