Driver of CNG-run auto-rickshaw was killed and two passengers were injured in a gas cylinder explosion of the auto rickshaw at Baby super market area under Panchalaish thana in city on Friday .
The approximate age of the driver is about 25-26 years but the identity of the driver yet to be traced, police sorces said. Passengers identified as Father and son . Police suspects that there was technical fault in the gas cylinder .
ASI of Chittagong Medical college Hospital Pankaj Barua told that the auto rickshaw caught fire following the explosion in gas cylinder while proceeding towards Baby super market from Solasahar No.2 gate .
The driver died on the spot and his body sent to CMCH morgue and the injured passenger admitted in CMC Hospital burn unit immediately. Hospital sources said the conditions of the injured is very much critical.
