Chittagong Metropolitan Police has strengthened the security measures for the foreigners staying in the port city . Beside the police patrol at foreigners location and diplomat offices, detective vigilance also increased there, a CMP sources said yesterday.
CMP Commissioner Abdul Jalil Mondol told that following the directives of the headquarters and in consideration of present situation , security measures for the foreign nationals strengthened.
He said foreign sponsored educational institutions, business houses, mills and factories, residences , security blanket deployed.
Deputy commissioner of CMP Moazzem Hossain Bhuyia said police patrol and security measures strengthened in Khulsi, Panchalaish and EPZ areas where the foreigners staying. He also said vigilance has also been increased in Indian High commission office in Chitagong.
Detective Branch sources said plain clothes detective team also working in the diplomatic areas in the city from Tuesday.
