Chittagong Metropolitan Police (CMP) Commissioner Saleh Mohammad Tanvir visited the puja mandapa on the occasion of Durga Puja. On Wednesday evening, he visited JMSen Hall Pujamandap and Rajapukur Lane Pujamandap during the Durgotsab. At this time, he exchanged autumn greetings with the leaders of Mahanagari Puja Committee.
During the visit, the Commissioner of Police sought the full cooperation of the people of the city in celebrating the Durga Puja in a smooth and peaceful manner.
“We are satisfied with the law and order situation so far,” he said. The festival is being held in a festive atmosphere. This is what we want everyone to celebrate in a joyous, festive atmosphere.
The police commissioner further said, “I will call on everyone not to listen to rumors.” Inform the police if you notice anything. The police will take immediate action. There will be adequate security during the abandonment of the idol.
