Officials of Anti Corruption Commission (ACC) held a staff of Chittagong Medical College Hospital (CMCH) red-handed while taking money from an individual promising false medical certificate on Sunday.
The arrestee was identified as Minal Kanti, 40, senior office assistant of the CMCH.
Being tipped-off that Minal was supposed to take money from the person named Md Mozammel Haque in exchange for a fake injury certificate, a team of ACC officials conducted a drive at a restaurant near the hospital and held the staff and recovered the supposed amount of TK 25,000 from his possession, said Jahirul Islam Bhuiya, in-charge of CMCH police camp.
