Campus Report :
A cleanliness campaign was held on the campus of Islamic University of Technology (IUT), a subsidiary organ of the 57-nation Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), at Board Bazar, Gazipur on Tuesday.
Prof Dr Munaz Ahmed Noor, Vice-Chancellor and Dr Omar Jah, Pro-Vice-Chancellor of the University, jointly inaugurated the campaign organised for the first time in the history of IUT where students from Asia, Africa and Arab regions of the OIC are studying.
While inaugurating the event, Prof Noor said that a movement for cleanliness would gather momentum in the coming days spreading awareness for the need of a clean ambiance not only for a better living, studying and working conditions but also for giving the campus a green and tidy look.
He expressed the hope that with the wholehearted cooperation of all students and members of the staff, the expansive lush green campus with its awe-inspiring architecture would look more appealing and pleasing for those who are associated with the University as well as for the passersby and the visitors. Such campaign will be conducted every three month, the Vice-Chancellor said, adding that students and staffs should participate in the coming campaign in greater numbers in a festive mood.
