Toby Mendel, Executive Director of Centre for Law and Democracy (CLD) and former Director (Law and Asia) of Article-19 called on Dhaka University (DU) Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr AAMS Arefin Siddique on Thursday at the latter’s office of the university.
Associate Professor of the Department of Mass Communication and Journalism of DU SM Shamim Reza, Chief Executive of JATRI Jamil Ahmed and Chief Executive Officer of BNNRC AHM Bazlur Rahman were present on the occasion.
During the meeting they discussed various issues including overall development of media law in Bangladesh.
They emphasized on introducing community radio in the country to ensure the right of information for general public.
