Clash over hitting housewife’s body in Bhangura, 5 Injured

Five people were injured in the clash centered on the housewife’s body in Bhangura Upazila under Pabna district on Friday. Among them, Saidul Islam, Azizul Haque and Montu Mandal have been admitted to the Upazila Health Complex. Police arrested three person in the early morning on Friday (28 May). They are Sultan Hossain, Sagar and Abdul Mannan. The incident took place on Thursday (May 27) at Dengapara village in Bhangura upazila of Pabna . Housewife Lata has field a written complaint with Bhangura police station.
According to the locals, Lata Khatun was sleeping in the room with the window open at night. Then, Khokon (38), son of Shotka Mollah of the same village, hit her with sticks.

When Lata shouted, her husband Alamgir Hossain came out and saw him nearby. As soon as he blamed Khokon for the incident, he started beating Alamgir. Later, people from both sides clashed with sticks.
Muhammad Anwar Hossain, Officer-in-Charge of Bhangura Thana confirmed the incident and said that three persons from both sides were brought to the police station for questioning in order to maintain peace in the village. However, they were released in the afternoon as accused Khokon was not among them.
Meanwhile, housewife Lata and her husband Alamgir said that they were threatening to be killed as the police did not arrest him.
