Chittagong Bureau :A clash erupted between the supporters of two Awami League supported councillor candidates in the Tigerpass area under Khulsi thana in city on Thursday night. In the unwanted clash, one AL supporter was killed. The victim has been identified as Saddam Hossain(30). Sources said that the clash broke out between the supporters of councillor aspirants Kabir Manik and Shahidul Islam Shamimduring election campaign at Malipara of Tigerpass . Local witnesses said Jubo League worker Saddam Hossain was conducting the election campaign in favour of Kabir Manik. Sub-Inspector of Khulsi thana Tariqul Islam confirmed the news of clash and death of Saddam. Sources said the victim was immediately rushed to Chittagong Medical College and Hospital with critical injury where the attending physicians declared him dead.
