Staff Reporter :The performance award giving ceremony of the 14th Uro-Cola-Cultural Journalists’ Forum of Bangladesh (CJFB) was held at the Bangabandhu International Conference Centre in the city on Tuesday. Information Minister Hasanul Haq Inu was present as the chief guest at the function while Arshad Hosein, Managing Editor of The New Nation and Managing Director of Ittefaq Holdings Ltd, was present as the special guest on the occasion.This year noted and popular actress Suborna Mustafa received the ifetime achievement award for her outstanding contribution in the filed of acting for the last four decades. Meanwhile, noted playwright, writer and filmmaker Humayun Ahmed got a honour with a lifetime achievement award (posthumous) at the award-giving ceremony. Humayun Ahmed’s mother Ayesha Faiz and his brother Ahsan Habib received the award from the Information Minister. Information Secretary Hedayetullah Al Mamun was also present as special guest in the programme.The programme was also attended, among others, by Harunur Rashid, Chairman and Managing Director of Globe Soft Drinks Ltd.Actors and actresses received CJFB Awards 2014 in different categories in the programme. Later a cultural function was held.
