Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs Minister Anisul Huq on Tuesday said former Chief Justice Surendra Kumar Sinha had intended to stage a ‘judicial coup’.
“Two to two and a half years’ time was wasted in tackling this (thwarting the attempt),” he said at a coordination meeting with the officials of Legislative and Parliamentary Affairs Division at the Secretariat, said an official release.
The minister added that many development works were also hindered due to Justice Sinha.
