City Mayor of Chittagong and General Secretary of Chittagong City Awami League A J M Nasir Uddin termed Ishaq Mian a devoted politician who never compromised with opportunism. Addressing the commemorating meeting of Awami League leader Ishak Mian at Chittagong Zila Parishad Hall on Tuesday evening, He said Mian was the guardian of the progressive politics.
Bangabandhu and Jatiyo four Neta Smrity Parishad and Chittagong Shahityo Path Chakra jointly organized the meeting on late Ishaq Mian. The meeting was presided over by AL advisory committee member and Vice -chancellor of Premier University Prof Dr Anupam Sen.
Addressing the meeting, General Secretary of Chittagong North district Awami League M A Salam said Ishaq Mian did a lot for the liberation war. He was a Gono Parishad member and law maker of Bangladesh. But, he did nothing for himself. General Secretary of Chittagong South District Awami League Mofizur Rahman also addressed the condolence meeting.
