A shop owner of Polwel Market in Dhaka has been strangled to death at Bashabo in the city. Police recovered the body on Sunday night.
The victim was identified as Abul Basher Bachchu, 45, a cloth shop owner at Polwel Market, Naya Paltan and son of late Moslem Ali Howlader of Nalchity under Jhalakati.
Victim’s family sources said, Bachchu was residing with his wife and two children at Nandipara under Sabujbag Police Station in the city.
His body was handed over to family members after autopsy at DMCH on Monday afternoon. A case has been lodged with the Sabujbag Police Station in this connection.
