Citizens of UK, Australia, S Korea to leave BD soon

Citizens of United Kingdom, Australia and South Korea will soon leave Bangladesh for their respective countries by special chartered flights amid spread of coronavirus here.
Confirming the matter, a high official of Civil Aviation Authority of Bangladesh (CAAB) told The New Nation yesterday that a special chartered flight of Sri Lankan Airlines is scheduled to depart from Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport (HSIA) on April 16 with 294 Australian citizens.
He said, South Korean nationals will also leave Dhaka very soon for their homelands on a special chartered flight.
According to CAAB sources, British nationals currently in Bangladesh for the first time since the pandemic started will leave for home by another chartered flight.
On April 1, more than 300 Japanese nationals left Dhaka for Tokyo by a special chartered flight of Biman Bangladesh Airlines in view of the Covid-19 pandemic.
On March 30, 269 US citizens left Dhaka by a special chartered flight of Qatar Airways. Earlier, 225 Malaysians and 139 Bhutanese citizens also left by a chartered flights.
