Chittagong Bureau :The 24th Chittagong International Trade Fair-2016 will begin in the port city from March 11 next at Railway pologround maidan as arranged by Chittagong Chamber of Commerce & Industry . Minister for Commerce of GOB Md. Tofael Ahmed MP is expected to inaugurate the Fair as Chief Guest while Minister for Housing and Public Works Engr Mosharraf Hossain MP will unveil plaque of the fair as a n inaugurator. State Minister for Land Md. Saifuzzaman chowdhury MP, City Mayor AJM Nasiruddin, lawmaker MA Latif MP, FBCCI President Abdul Matlub Ahmed will remain present in the inaugural session as special guests. This was disclosed by the CCCI President Mahbubul Alam at a press meet arranged at World Trade Centre office yesterday afternoon .Chairman of Fair committee and vice President of CCCI Jamal Ahmed readout the written statement before the media persons .CCCI President delivered address of welcome in the press meet. Thailand is the partner country of CITF and India, China, Iran will participate the fair. The press meet was told that the fair will locate in 4 lakh sft areas including 12 premier gold pavilion, 3 mini mega pavilion, 8 premier pavilion, 20 standard pavilion, 166 premier mega booths, 22 mega booths, 10 premier gold booths, 14 standard booths, 3 restaurant space and 38 pavillions . About 450 enterprises will participate in the fair this year, the press meet added. Metionable that 6750 sft space allocated to partner country Thailand . The entry tickets for adults Tk.10 and children Tk.5 fixed, sources said. Medicare facilities, security measures for the visitors and banking facilities of the stall owners will be provided during the fair duration. President of CCCI and the Fair Connvenor Mahbubul Alam and Jamal Ahmed respectively replied to the various questions of the journalists . CCCI President in his welcome address emphasized the expansion and promotion of local products as well in international arena. Different locally products are being exporrted to abroad through participating the CITF very inception of the fair.
