CID nabs 5 fraudsters for luring people with airport jobs

The Criminal Investigation Department-CID on Sunday arrested five members of a fraudulent gang that was cheating people in the name of giving them jobs in Airport. They were arrested during a raid in a office named Asian Tours and Travels at Banani, in Dhaka.
The arrestees are Golam Mazed, 50, Narayan Sarkar, 35, Md Mehedi, 19, Md Imtiaz, 31, Md Enayetullah, 40.
ASP of CID Organized Crime Division Zisanul Haq told The New Nation on Monday that owner of Asian Tours and Travels Ashraf Khan alias Sultan Mahmud is the leader of the gang. They were cheating people for a long time by publishing advertisements for appointing Airport third terminal work job and they have embezzled huge sums of money from commom people.
After that they also gave fake work orders of a company.
After confirming the allegation from the victims, five members of a fraudulent recruitment and job scam were arrested.
During the operation, multiple fake appointment letters and various bank cheques taken from the candidates, various fake medical certificates, fake doctor’s seals, candidates’ applications and fake work orders for recruitment at the third terminal of Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport were recovered from their possession.
Ashraf Khan, the ringleader of the gang, is on the run.
