Victory month December: Chuadanga liberated on Dec 7

Chuadanga district was freed from the clutch of Pakistani occupation forces on December 7 of 1971 year .
The freedom fighters led by cornel Abu Osman liberated the area. The troops including the valiant freedom fighters maneuver along the Chuadanga borders in November 1971. The freedom freighters intensified their guerrilla attack to demoralise the Pakistani army .
A fierce battle happened in Zebonagar Dorsona Border areas in Zebonnagar and Dorsona upazila in Chuadanga on November where the occupation forces suffered heavy casualties . More than 30 pak soldiers were killed in the attack .
The guerrillas with the assistance of the allied forces started to advance towards Chuadanga on December 6 and the occupation forces started retreating on the day in the face of terrible attack.
They totally retreated from Chuadanga at midnight on December 7. The defeated Pakistan soldiers damaged the Chuadanga town bridge on the Mathabhanga River. To mark the day, various organisations chalked out different programmes.
