Chittagong Division were struggling at 216 for 8 against some good bowling by Dhaka Metropolis on the third day of the stumps in the four-day 19th Walton Smart Fridge National Cricket League held on Sunday at Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium, Chittagong.
Earlier yesterday, Dhaka Metropolis declared at 369 for 9 and Chittagong were 41 for 1 at stumps.
Again inclement weather saw Chittagong resuming at 41 for 1, finished the day at 216 for 8.
Sazzalul Haque with 59, Mahbubul Karim with 40, Irfan Sukkur and Sadiqur Rahman with 28 were the notable Chittagong batsmen.
Former national skipper Mohammad Ashraful was the top bowler for Dhaka Metro with 3 for 49. He was well supported by Mohammad Shahid and Nihaduzzaman with two wickets each.
