National Cricket Championship: Chittagong earn 2nd win crushing Rangamati by 143 runs

Hosts Chittagong District earned the 2nd consecutive victory in the Chittagong Divisional phase of the 36th National Cricket Championship crushing Rangamati District by 143 runs at Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium here on Tuesday.
Earlier, Chittagong made a good start in the national cricket outplaying Bandarban District by eight wickets at the same venue last Saturday.
Sent in to bat first in the day’s match, Chittagong piled up 207 for 9 in stipulated 50 overs with lower order batsman Injamamul Haq making the match highest 59 runs off 53 balls, featuring six fours and one six.
Besides, Naeem Hasan (36), Imrul Karim (35), Sabbir Hossain (22) and Kazi Kamrul Islam (12) were the other major contributors for the home team reaching the double digit.
Mobarak Hossain grabbed three wickets for 30 runs.
In reply, Rangamati were bundled out for 64 runs in 30.5 overs.
Opener Osman Gani scored 35-ball 29 runs with four fours and six while Sadek Hossain made 32-ball 13 runs with two boundaries, were the two Rangamati batsmen reaching the double figure.
Imrul Karim, Kazi Kamrul and Injamamul Haq claimed two wickets each conceding 4, 12 and 14 runs respectively.
