Chinese envoy visits Narandi China Friendship Centre

The Narandi-China Friendship Centre wore a festive look marking the visit of Chinese Ambassador Li Jun with some members of his embassy and local MP Nurul Mojid Mahmud Humayun at the invitation of the founder of the friendship centre Reazuddin Ahmed, Editor of the News
Today and former president of National Press Club on Saturday.
The Chinese Ambassador went round different wings of the centre including computer training section, library, music and vocational training section. He also visited Narandi Bazar which is adjacent to the centre on the bank of the Brahmaputra.
The Ambassador used words of praises for the Narandi-China Friendship Centre at Narandi village which was constructed in 2007 financed by the Chinese government.
Later the ambassador spoke at a brief function with Reazuddin Ahmed, founder of the Narandi-China Friendship Centre in the chair.
Ambassador Li Jun said China is always ready to support development efforts of Bangladesh. He said Chinese Embassy will continue to extend help to the friendship centre for skill development of the children.
He presented some gifts including two computers for the students of the centre.
Reazuddin Ahmed thanked the Ambassador for visiting the Narandi-China Friendship Centre.
MP Nurul Mojid Mahmud Humayan expressed his satisfaction over the close ties between China and Bangladesh.
 A cultural function was organized in honour of the Chinese Ambassador and other guests. Lt Colonel (Retd) Joynul Abedin, Executive Director of the centre gave the vote of thanks.
The Ambassador enjoyed the function.
Earlier, Chinese Ambassador Li Jun and Reazuddin Ahmed also visited the Wari-Bateshwar archeological site of Bangladesh at Belabo, Narsingdi. Local MP Nurul Mojid Mahmud Humayan was also present on the occasion.
