Chinese Air Chief calls on President

Visiting Chinese Air Chief Marshal General Xu Qiliang paid a courtesy call on President Abdul Hamid at Bangabhaban on Monday afternoon.
During the meeting, Chinese Air Chief said the purpose of his visit is to promote friendship and cooperation between the two countries and the armed forces of China and Bangladesh. He observed strong bilateral relationship and cooperation exist between Bangladesh and China. “China and Bangladesh have similar views on international affairs and security issues. We have some expectations and aspirations on future relationship,” he said.
The Chinese Air Chief said that Chinese development also benefits its neighboring countries.
Xu Qiliang, who is also Vice Chairman of Central Military Commission of Communist Party of China (CPC), appreciated Bangladesh support to one-china policy.
He said implementation of proposed road connectivity between China and Bangladesh via Myanmar will give a boost to economies of all the three nations.
President Abdul Hamid expressed hope that the visit of Chinese Air Chief would further deepen the cooperation between the two countries.
President said Chinese economy is advancing very speedily compared to other countries of the world. The Chinese economic advancement would also help Bangladesh development, he observed. President Hamid expressed satisfaction over the Chinese cooperation to different sectors of Bangladesh including the defense.
