A class-nine girl student was saved from early marriage in Bancharampur upazila on Sunday afternoon.
Being informed that the family of the ninth-grade girl Parvin Akhter of Ruposdi Brindabon School was getting ready to arrange the wedding with a young man of Kanchanpur village, upazila nirbahi officer Md Shariful Islam along with Secondary Education officer Md Abu Towhid went to the house.
Later, they foiled their attempt and took a bond from the girl’s parents.
