Monnujan Sufian said the government would provide child labourers training and job-oriented education to withdraw them from risky jobs.
“The government is working to stop risky job for children by 2021 and all
kinds of child labor by 2025 to achieve the target of Sustainable Development
Goal (SDG),” she said these on Tuesday while addressing the seventh meeting of National Child Labour Welfare Council in the city.”The government has started the work of forth phase of a project to eliminate risky child labor at a cost of Taka 284.49 crore. Under this project, children engaged in risky jobs will be identified and they will be provided with training and job-oriented education.
