A child named Tanisha (5) drowned in Banarriver at Gafargaon in Mymensingh. The incident took place at noon on Thursday at Angari village in Tangabar union of the upazila. The deceased was identified as Anisha, daughter of AH Razzak of the area.
According to the victim’s family and local sources, Anisha was playing on the bank of the river Banar next to her house. At that time, she accidentally fell into the river water.
Local UP chairman Mofazzal Hossain Sagar confirmed the incident.
