Chhayanaut organised a two-day festival Nazrul Utsab on its premises in the capital’s Dhanmondi area on May 25 and 26. On the occasion of the 123rd birth anniversary of Kazi Nazrul Islam, the two-day festival featuring solo rendition, chorus, solo and group dance performance and recitation. On the first day, Priyanka Gope, Yakub Ali, Anamika Sarkar, Sulka Sarkar, Syeda Sanjida Johora and Farhana Akter rendered songs. Sur Saptak, Chhayanaut and singers Sadya Afreen Mallick, Dalia Nausheen, Suchi rendered chorus. On the closing day, Fatema Tuz-Zohra, Khairul Anam Shakil, Abhijit Kundu, Arup Biswas, Rezaul Karim, Sumon Majumdar and Bijon Chandra Mistry, among others presented solo renditions while Dahlia Ahmed and Zahirul Haque Khan recited poems and Warda Rihab performed dance.
