The National Parliament member of Sylhet-1 Dr. K Abdul Momen, Foreign Minister of Bangladesh government has given a cheque of Taka 34 lakh for medical assistance to 98 patients with various complex diseases in Sylhet. The check was delivered at Sylhet’s Deputy Commissioner’s Conference Room on Wednesday.Under the Ministry of Social Welfare, with the assistance of the district administration and the care of the District Social Services Office, financial assistance programs for patients suffering from “Cancer, Kidney,Liver Cirrhosis,Stroke paralyzed, Congenital heart disease andThalassemia” were provided and this grant is made from voluntary funds of foreign minister.
