Rajon - Rakib murders: Chargesheet by 72 hrs: Anisul

Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs Minister Anisul Huq yesterday said chargesheet in the minor boy Samiul Alam Rajon murder case will be submitted within 72 hours.
Replying to a journalistic query, he said this after unveiling the cover of
Registration Manual-2014 at a city hotel. Asked about formation of a new tribunal for holding trials of women and children repression cases, he said, “There is no need to form new tribunals as there are tribunals for women and children.”
“There is no bar to hold trials in the Rajon murder case despite the main accused of the brutal killing went into hiding,” he said while replying to another query about the fugitive mastermind of the misdeed Kamrul Alam.
On July 8, some people on suspicion of theft beat Rajon, 13, to death, at Kumargaon Village, under Sylhet Sadar Upazila.
A video clip to this end went viral on the internet, creating criticism on the social media. Police lodged a murder case accusing Muhit Alam, his brother Kamrul Alam, their accomplices Ali Haider alias Ali, Choukidar Moyna Mia alias Baro Moyna. Five other unnamed men were also accused in the case.
Detective Branch (DB) of police has initiated investigation into Rajan murder case on July 16. DB inspector and investigation officer in the murder case Suranjit Talukder collected evidences related to the murder, officer-in-charge of Jalalabad Police Station Akhter Hossain confirmed. Sylhet Metropolitan Magistrate earlier ordered to transfer the case to the DB.
Police have so far arrested some accused in the case. The main accused Kamrul, who was arrested in Jeddah in Saudi Arabia, will soon be brought back. He is now under the custody of Saudi police.
