BNP Chittagong City Unit held a protest rally in fornt of party office in city protesting the chargesheet filed against the BNP chairperson Begum Khalda Zia on Sunday evening.
As a part of the central programs, city BNP arranged the rally with its senior vice president Abu Sufian in the chair. General Secretary of the city Unit Dr. Shahdat Hossain graced the occasion as Chief Guest.
The chief guest in his brief deliberations said present govt is again conspiring a new against the BNP chairperson through submitting the chargesheet.
He said the name of the Chairperson was not included in the FIR of that specific case but in the chargesheet, her name included with new conspiracy . He also said when the BNP chairperson demanded the bank account of the son of the Prime Minsiter and investigation of looting of govt money of millions of taka, then this motivated charge sheet was submitted with heinous motives.
He said country is passing with utter political and economic crisis and no democracy is prevailing in the country. He also said the popularity of the chairperson won’t be undermined through fake case, and the people of the country can realize the trics of the present govt and won’t believe the socalled allegations against opposition parties.
Among others, Senior Vice President Abu Sufian, CUCSU Gen, Secretary Mahbubur Rahman Shamim, Abul Hashem Bakkar, Bola Meah, MA Aziz, Nazimuddin spoke in it, sources said.
