Abrar murder: Charge sheet submission in 1st week of this month

The charge sheet of BUET student Abrar Fahad murder case will be submitted to court in the 1st week of November after completion of its investigation.
Abdul Baten, Additional Commissioner of Detective Branch (DB) of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) said this at a press briefing at the DMP media center on Thursday.
In response to a question, he said: “We asked to submit charge sheet to court in the 1st week of November. We’re working towards this end. Our investigation work is almost done. The charge sheet will be submitted to the court within the stipulated time.”
Asked about motive behind the murder, the police official said: “Whatever the motive, nobody has the right to kill anyone. What we have found so far, Abrar Fahad was beaten on suspicion of being a member of Islami Chhatra Shibir.”
Abrar Fahad, aged 21, a student of Electrical and Electronic Engineering  
Department at BUET, was tortured to death reportedly by BCL leaders at Sher-e-Bangla Hall of the university on October 7.
He was found dead on the staircase of the dormitory early Monday.
Out of the 19 accused, 16 persons have been arrested so far. Later, five others were also arrested. Out of these 21 people, seven have been given confessional statements at court.
