Dipan murder: Charge framing deferred

An anti-terror tribunal of Dhaka yesterday (Tuesday) fixed October 13 to hold hearing on charge framing against eight militants of banned outfit Ansarullah Bangla Team (ABT) in the case filed in connection with the murder of publisher Faisal Arefin Dipan in 2016.
On Tuesday, accused Abdur Sabur was not produced in the court. On behalf of the state, a petition seeking deferment of the hearing was filed in the court. Hearing the petition, Judge Mojibur Rahman of
the Anti-Terror Tribunal set the new date.
The tribunal on March 19 accepted the charge sheet of the case and issued arrest warrants against fugitives sacked Army Major Syed Ziaul Haque and Akram Hossain.
Investigation Officer of the case and Detective Branch Assistant Police Commissioner Fazlur Rahman on November 15 of last year filed the charge sheet against eight accused persons.
