Channel i turned 18 on first day of October. The birthday celebration started at midnight of September 30.
This year’s birthday was celebrated with the slogan of Atharoy Joydhoni.
The birthday’s events started
at 10 in the morning and continued
till 7:00pm.
Outside Dhaka in all the other districts the celebrations continued for three
to ten days.
Channel i started airing on October 1 in 1999. Managing board of the channel has claimed to include newer sparks for this year’s celebrations as always.
While talking about the celebration of the channel Sykh Seraj, the News Director of Channel i said, “Channel i has worked as one of the covered forces to facilitate the progress of this country and as every now and then a new dimension is being added to the socio-economic improvement of the country Channel i too is adding new segments to its plans to develop the country.” n
