Pepsi-DRU Cricket: Channel 24 emerge new champions

Satellite TV network Channel 24 emerged new champions in the Pepsi-DRU six-a-side media cricket tournament beating Jamuna Television by 48 runs in the final at the M0ulana Bhashani National Stadium here on Monday.
Batting first, Channel 24 scored a moderate 94 runs for 3 wickets and later they restricted Jamuna TV at 46 runs for 4 wickets.
Azizur Rahman Kiran of the champion team was adjudged the man of the final while Rashed Nizam of the same team named as the player of the tournament.
President of International Cricket Council (ICC) and Planning Minister AHM Mustafa Kamal was the chief guest in the final and later distributed the prizes.
Director of Bangladesh Cricket Board Hanif Bhuiyan, Country Manager of Pepsi Darpon Vashisastha and DUJ President Altaf Mahmud were present as special guests.
A total of 41 teams from print, electronic and online media took part in the tournament.
