Six Deputy Inspector Generals (DIGs) of police have been transferred and posted on Wednesday.
According to the order of the president, the changes were made through a notification signed by Deputy Commissioner of Police-1, Dhananjay Kumar Das, Public Service Department of the Ministry of Home Affairs.
DIG of Police Headquarters AKM Shahidur Rahman was transferred to Bangladesh Police Telecom & Information Management (T & IM) while T and IM DIG Barrister Md. Harun-ur-Rashid was transferred
to police headquarters; RAB Director Khandaker Lutful Kabir was promoted to DIG of Anti-Terrorism Unit, while Anti-Terrorism Unit’s Mohammad Monirul Islam to Additional DMP Commissioner; and Special Security and Protection Battalion DIG Biswas Afzal Hossain was transferred to Special Branch (SB) DIG while SB DIG Mohammad Mosharraf Hossain Bhuiyan to CID’s DIG.
