Journalists of Chandpur district who live in Dhaka and also work in various newspapers, news agencies and media houses have formed an organisation named Chandpur Zila Joumalist Forum, Dhaka” at a meeting recently at a city’s Chinese Restaurant, says a press release.
A 15-member committee was formed with Md. Mofizul Islam of The Independent as President, Md. Khorshed Alam of Daily Insaniat, General Secretary and Mofizur Rahman Babu (Daily Sangbad Protikkhon) as Organising Secretary respectively.
Other members of the committee are: Vice President Mohiuddin Sarker (Jugantar),Joint Secretary Rejaul Karim Reja (Daily Banglabazar Potrika), Treasurer- Md Munir Hossain (The New Nation), Sports and Cultural Secretary Nasima Akhter Soma (The Independent), Yusuf Bablu (V. News), Publicity Secretary- Md. Mostafa Kamal (Bangladesh Protidin) and Executive members – Md. Helal Uddin (Jugantor), Mizan Malik (Jumuna TV), Kamrul Hasan Dorpon (Inqilab), Pronab Kumar Majumder (Daily Sironam), Arif M S Mahmud (The Independent) and KM Shaheen Alom (Daily Janata).
