Chandpur Correspondent :
Iqram Chowdhury ( Channel-i ) and AH M Ahsanullah ( Daily Chandpur Kantho) were unanimously elected new President and new General Secretary respectively of Chandpur Press Club for 2020.
They were elected unanimously amid applause at the Annual General Meeting held with the outgoing President Shahid Patwary in the chair at the Club Auditorium recently.
The other elected Executive members are – Vice Presidents- Giasuddin Milon, Rahim Badsha, Laxman Chandra Sutradhar and Adv Sohel Rushdie.
Joint Secretaries – Al Imran Shovon, A Awal Rubel, Alam Polash and Mosharraf Hossain Lyton.
Sports Secretary- Yeasin Iqram, Info Technology Secretary -Kader Palash.
Entertainment Secretary- Sharif Ashraful Huque , International Affairs Secretary -Shaokat Ali, Social Welfare Secretary- Monowar Kanon, Office Secretary- Ibrahim Roni, Organising Secretary- M A Latif, Prof Morshed Alam , Shahadat Hossain Shanto, Literary and Publication Secretary- Rokonuzzaman Rokon, Publicity Secretary- Mahbubur Rahman Suman, Library Secretary- Hasan Imam, Treasurer- Riyadh Ferdous and Cultural Secretary- AK Azad.
There are 15 members on the Executive Committee.
Laxman Chandra Sutradhar, Golam Kibria Jibon, Prof Delwar Ahmed, Prof Shah Jalal Chowdhury, GM Shahin, A. Awal Rubel, BM Hannan, Shahid Patwary, Kazi Shahadat, Iqbal Patwary, Advocate Sohel Rushdie among others spoke on the occasion.
The new committee will take over and start working from today(1st January) till 31 December.
