In her acting career, popular film actress Champa acted in many plays and films which stories were written by noted playwrights and writers. But this time an exceptional thing has been done in her life. She has worked in a detective story based TV serial which story has taken from the adaptation of a story of Master of Suspense famed noted US producer and director Sir Alfred Hitchcock. Title of the serial is Slow Poison. Promising director Tareq Mahmud Hasan has given direction of the serial.
While talking about the serial its director Tareq Mahmud said, “I had a dream to make any play or serial to cast Champa madam. For this reason, I myself informed a story to Champa Madam, which was an adaptation from Sir Alfred Hitchcock’s story. She liked the story. I am really grateful to her to agree to work under my direction in the serial.”
Five times National Film Award winning actress Champa shared her feelings by this way, “I act in TV play very little bit. Basically main story of the serial Slow Poison was written by Alfred Hitchcock so that I agreed to work. Tareq works in organised way. I think it will become a nice work.”
Champa acted in role of Shabnam in the serial Slow Poison. It will go on air in any satellite channel soon, said its director.
On the other hand, last week Champa has returned to Bangladesh from India. After returning to Dhaka it was first work by Champa.
It may be mentioned that Champa last worked in movie Most Welcome-2. Now she is not acting in any other new movie, she said.
Champa got the National Film Awards for five times for acting in movies Padma Nodir Majhi, Annyo Jibon, Uttor-er Khep, Shasti and Chandragrahan.
