Chamak Tara acts in theatre play Kalratri

Chamak Tara is a popular actress of present time. She has been acting in theatre and TV plays and also in films simultaneously. She prefers to work on the stage rather than acting in TV plays and movies. When she gets any offer to act in theatre play she agrees to work without any hesitation because she came into present position for acting in theatre plays.
In 2009, Chamak Tara, hailed from Rajshahi, started her acting career through theatre troupe, Dhaka Drama. After acting with this group in several plays in 2010 she joined in Padatik Nattya Sangsad and still acting with this group. Under this group she acted in plays like Jonomanko, Kalratri, Beder Meye, among other plays.
On Thursday night, Chamak Tara-starrer play Kalratri was staged at Studio Theatre Hall of Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy where she played the role of a student. Tanvir Ahmed Sydney wrote script of the play while Wahidul Islam gave its direction. It was 33rd stage of the play.
While talking about acting in this play Chamak Tara said, “In fact, I was attached with 20 stages of Kalratri. I could not work in its rest numbers. I have liking with theatre. Theatre is first to me because I find something in theatre plays.”
In TV play, Chamak Tara’s first work was Aktaruzzaman Tuhin’s Mohollar Bhai. Later she acted in direction of Kaisar Ahmed, Idris Haider, Masum Aziz, Mujibur Rahman Dilu, Noman Hasan Khan, among others. She started her acting career in through the hands of her mother Nazma Sultana. Her father Nazmul Haque died in 2016. 27 September is her birthday. Chamak-starrer first movie was Ma Babar Sontan, which was released in 2016. Later she acted in movies Mastan O Police, Dhushor Kuasha, Matal, Pagoler Moto Bhalobashi, etc. Chamak-starrer last released movie was Garments Sramik Jindabad, which was released on December 13. Nusrat Tamanna Ratri is her younger sister.
