A mentally disordered youth allegedly took his life by hanging himself from a tree at Chandanaish upazila in Chittagong on Sunday.
Md Habib, 25, of Satkania upazila, made several suicide attempts even before, said Chandanaish police. Therefore, his family used to keep him under lock and key. On Sunday morning, Habib managed to flee from the house and hanged himself from a tree by a towel in a nearby orchard at Boiltoli, they added.
Police handed over the body to the family without any autopsy.
