State Minister for Women and Children Affairs Meher Afroz Chumki, MP, stressed for innovative steps including establishment of a ‘Challenge Fund’ at local levels to prevent child marriage and dropout of female students from schools.
“The Challenge Fund can play very significant role to ensure different innovative works and inspire inventors both in government and private sectors to resolve the actual problems coinciding with child marriage and female students’ dropout,” she said this on Thursday while inaugurating “Challenge Fund” at Prime Minister Office.

Bangladesh jointly organized the programme at Korobi Hall at the PM office with secretary of the Women and Children Affairs Nasima Begum ndc in the chair.
Director General (DG) of Prime Minister’s Office KM Ali Azam, DG of Governance Innovation Unit Abdul Halim, Country Director of Plan International Bangladesh Senait Gebregziabherand and Country Director of UNDP in Bangladesh (ad interim) Khurshed Alam , among others, were present on the occasion.
