Anti-Corruption Commission, Chittagong filed a corruption case against the owner of a clearing forwarding agent and their official of Chittagong before the Bandar thana in city on Tuesday for their alleged involvement for preparing false customs documents for releasing the imported consignment with tactics of evasion of govt revenue.
Asstt Director of ACC, Chittagong MH Rahmatullah filed the suit as plaintiff, ACC sources said.
The corruption suit lodged accusing owner of C&F agent RP Traders Abdur Rahim and the customs Sarker of C&F agent Iftekhar Ahmed .
Officer incharge of Bandar thana Jahedul Islam confirmed the filing of corruption case against the RP Traders and its official. FIR of ACC sources said the C&F agent and its customs sarker released the imported cloths of importer M/s. Denims Ltd by make forgery of customs documents with false declaration where govt was deprived of Tk.82.71 lakh as govt revenue in this consignment .
The case was filed under the penal code of 420, 467,468 , 471 and 109 sections, sources said.
