A Chittagong court on Tuesday granted 10-day remand to the detained Clearing & Forwarding (C&F) official Mohammad Saiful Islam for his alleged involvement in brining cocaine with imported sunflower oil through Chittagong port six weeks ago.
The court of senior Chittagong Metropolitan Magistrate Farid Alam granted ten-day remand after police prayed for remand petition of ten-day one .
The court ordered the investigation officer to submit the report before him at the shortest possible time. The Custom Intelligent
sealed 107 drums sunflower oil at the NCT yard of the Chittagong port based on an intelligence report on June 7.
Existence of liquid cocaine has been found in barrels of edible oil after their contents were retested in the Bangladesh Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (BCSIR) and Bangladesh Drug Testing Laboratory (BDTL).
